The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
At Nordicie, we embrace the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as a guiding framework for our commitment to sustainability. Adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, this agenda provides a shared blueprint for achieving peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and in the future. At the core of this vision are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—an urgent global call to action. These goals emphasize the need for collaboration between all countries, both developed and developing, to address global challenges through partnership.
The SDGs recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies to improve health, education, and equality, while driving economic growth. At Nordicie, we are committed to integrating these strategies into our business practices, ensuring that we contribute to tackling climate change and safeguarding our oceans and forests.
To support the implementation of the SDGs, the Division for Sustainable Development Goals (DSDG) within the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) provides guidance and capacity-building on critical issues such as water, energy, climate, urbanization, and technology. Nordicie aligns its objectives with these thematic priorities, acknowledging the importance of collaboration and advocacy in achieving the 2030 Agenda.
