FAQ
Product questions
1. What are acoustic slat panels, and how do they work ?
Acoustic slat panels combine vertical or horizontal slats (usually MDF or PET-backed) with absorptive backing material.
They help absorb and diffuse sound, reduce echo/reverberation, and enhance room acoustics in commercial environments.
2. How do I choose the right panel configuration for my space ?
Consider panel thickness, slat spacing, and whether you want sound absorption or diffusion.
Thicker panels with air gaps behind them improve low-frequency absorption.
Choose based on space size, reverberation challenges, and aesthetic goals.
3. Can panels be customized ?
Yes, we accept customized.
Standard veneer: Oak, Black Walnut, Black Oak, Grey Oak, in 0.4 – 0.5 mm thickness.
Polyester fiber panel in 8 – 9 MM thickness.
Standard colors are Black, Grey, and White. Other colors can be made on request.
4. Can I integrate features like LED strips in the panel gaps ?
Yes — Nordicie offers LED profiles and compatible LED strips and controllers designed specifically to fit between slats for ambient lighting. This addresses both acoustic and visual design needs.
5. What maintenance is required ?
Panels are low-maintenance — periodic light dusting or soft wiping is usually sufficient.
Avoid abrasive cleaning around veneered or PET surfaces.
